What we treat and how.
General information on each procedure: what it is, when it is indicated, how it is performed and what to expect from recovery. The indication is always defined in consultation.
Knee
Arthroscopy and joint preservation, limb alignment correction and joint replacement, including robotic-assisted knee replacement.
Arthroscopy and preservation
- Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)ACL reconstruction and repair, with or without the anterolateral ligament, to restore knee stability.
- Meniscal injuriesMeniscal surgery and repair, prioritising tissue preservation: root tears, bucket-handle tears and repairable tears.
- Posterior cruciate ligament and multiligament injuriesPCL reconstruction and management of the knee with several injured ligaments, usually after high-energy trauma.
- Patellar dislocation and instabilityMedial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction, realignment and arthroscopic trochleoplasty when the kneecap dislocates repeatedly.
- Cartilage and osteochondral injuriesPreservation and restoration techniques for focal cartilage defects of the knee, including the patella.
- Knee arthroscopy and stiffnessSynovectomy, removal of loose bodies, arthrolysis for arthrofibrosis and arthroscopic treatment of selected fractures.
Shoulder
Rotator cuff, instability, labrum, biceps, acromioclavicular joint, stiffness and complex reconstructions, performed arthroscopically.
- Rotator cuff repairArthroscopic repair of the supraspinatus, infraspinatus and subscapularis, from partial tears to massive tears.
- Shoulder instability and recurrent dislocationBankart repair, posterior Bankart repair and arthroscopic capsuloplasty for a shoulder that keeps dislocating.
- SLAP tears and biceps pathologySuperior labral repair and tenodesis or tenotomy of the long head of the biceps.
- Acromioclavicular joint injuriesDistal clavicle resection and arthroscopic treatment of the symptomatic acromioclavicular joint.
- Shoulder stiffness and adhesive capsulitisArthroscopic capsular release for frozen shoulder that does not respond to conservative treatment and for postoperative or post-traumatic stiffness.
- Shoulder cartilage and arthritisTreatment of chondral and osteochondral lesions and arthroscopic management of the degenerative glenohumeral joint.
- Complex rotator cuff reconstructionsSuperior capsular reconstruction, augmentation with grafts or biological implants and extensive capsulolabral reconstructions.
- Shoulder arthroscopyKeyhole surgery with a camera to diagnose and treat shoulder injuries, including arthroscopic debridement.
Orthobiologics
Biological treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma, used in selected patients for joint, tendon and sports injuries.
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP / ACP)Injections of concentrated platelets from the patient's own blood for tendinopathies, partial rotator cuff tears and painful joints.
- Hyaluronic acidIntra-articular viscosupplementation injections for early and moderate knee and shoulder osteoarthritis.
- Cell-based therapiesThe patient's own cell concentrates in selected indications, with a clear explanation of their evidence and limits.
- Orthobiologics as a complement to surgeryBiological products applied during surgery to support the healing of the rotator cuff, cartilage and other repaired tissues.
This content is general information. It does not replace a medical assessment: every case is evaluated in consultation with physical examination and imaging.
